Documentation

Everyone likes good documentation but rarely do they want to write it.

In life we are often trying to figure things out. We are often trying to problem solve. To actually figure out our problems we are often looking at the work of those who came before. Be that documentation for a system we are trying to use. Notes about how the previous person came to their conclusions.

We are rarely the first ones to truly do something new. We build on what those before have achieved.

When building the next layer remember there will be those who come after you. Make sure you think of them and write about how you accomplished the things you did. Write down the thought process where possible as well.

You never know you might be the first one to need your own documentation.
