How often do you feel like you’re rushing? Is this a good feeling?

We often are rushing to get things done but why? The rushing seems to be more in our heads. When we’re rushing in traffic we are just making ourselves more stressed it doesn’t actually make us any faster. When we’re waiting for something we’re trying to speed it up in our heads but it will take as long as it does.

Next time you’re feeling this speed up effect in your head slow down. Be in the moment. Speeding up in your head isn’t making things actually faster and often it will lead to you making more mistakes as you are distracting yourself from the task at hand.

Being slow and deliberate will not only make you less error prone but hopefully will leave you less stressed as well. Just remember: Slow is smooth. Smooth is fast.
